The Cotswolds is an absolute dream to photograph a wedding in, whether it’s Bibury, Cirencester, Bourton on the water or any of the other beautiful villages in the surrounding areas of the Cotswolds. This wedding I photographed was held at The Swan Hotel, Bibury.. a very picturesque and traditionally touristic area of the area, which see’s thousands of tourists flocking to see the beautiful village every year.
I loved photographing for Bessie + Billy, their wedding was so chilled out, it was such a beautiful day also. We managed to get roaring sunshine all day.. which as you know living in England can be a little risky! Another thing that made the day a little bit better was that I already knew this couple, I photographed Bessie’s sister’s wedding back in 2017 (I must have done something right!) One of favourite parts of the day was the outdoor ceremony, for anyone that knows me well knows how much I love anything to do with outdoors for the wedding! With the gorgeous scenery surrounding the wedding venue, it really was perfect!
There were lots of tears throughout the day, as with most weddings.. and some of those were possibly mine. I was particularly taken back by the groom Billy’s speech. He had a song written and made which he played to his bride Bessie during the speeches.. this is what set most people off!
Just want to say a big thank you to Bessie + Billy, The Swan Hotel and everyone else who made this such an amazing day! One thing I picked up on was that Bessie + Billy really had faith in me and Shannon to photograph + video their wedding in the best possible way and that really helped with them feeling relaxed, leading to us getting better pictures!
